Town of Coimbra, founded by the Romans, of course. Coimbra is the 3rd largest city in Portugal and the birthplace of six of the country’s kings. It is the home of Coimbra University, from the year 1308. We are here specifically to visit the University Library – declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013.

The university is home to over 20,000 students and hosts one of the largest communities of International students in Portugal, being the most cosmopolitan Portuguese university.
